Muscle Activation

What is it?

These Reflex Points in our body (Chapman's Reflexes), when stimulated, Activate and Reset Muscles that are not firing correctly.
Muscle Activation unlocks poor patterns of movement by releasing muscle compensations, restoring the connection between our brain and muscles. It uses our body’s natural principles and helps with injury prevention. It can also increase the level of our physical performance skills.

It's a safe technique for everyone to use

Posture

Our Posture has a massive impact on our ability to move and to breathe. We can get stuck in poor posture, (e.g. forward head posture) which puts immense pressure on our neck and spine. For every inch forward, the weight on our spine increases by 10lbs!
Using Muscle Activation Techniques we can release tight muscles, allowing the muscles to return to their original length and tension. With that, our posture improves, along with our ability to breathe better.

Breathwork is one of the most effective ways to relieve stress and has huge benefits for our body. Many people may be suffering needlessly because of a breath dysfunction (they may not even be aware of), and that can be easily rectified.

Back Story

Following an injury, although nothing was broken, I was left with chronic pain in my hip and foot that continued for 8 years. I tried everything, but nothing got to the root of the problem. Every day was a struggle, I was in pain and constantly exhausted. This eventually led to burnout.

It was then I discovered a powerful technique for overcoming pain, managing stress, and dysfunctional patterns in your body, developed by Physiotherapist Douglas Heel called “Be-Activated”. The impact of this practice on my life was so great, that I decided to train, qualify, and learn everything I could about how to use these natural principles and techniques, so I could help others who ARE where I once was.

Participating in a 3-minute daily Activation sequence, and 7 years later, I continue to live a pain free life. I practice from The Less Stress Studio, located behind my home in Dublin 7.
